Abstract

This paper discusses how the concentrations of Pr3+, Ce3+, and F− ions affect the spectral composition of the emission, the thermally stimulated luminescence, and the kinetic parameters of the luminescence damping of ceramic samples of Gd2O2S:Pr, Ce. The mechanisms by which absorption bands appear in the 340-390-nm region are discussed. The dopant concentrations that provide high transparency and rapid damping of the x-ray luminescence of ceramic samples of Gd2O2S:Pr, Ce are determined.
