Abstract

This paper presents a description of the apparatus and method for calibrating differential collimator test stands with respect to the radiation-temperature difference (RTD). The method makes it possible to eliminate the influence of the modulation factor of the radiance of the image of a periodic test object on the results of measurements of the true RTD values. Calibrations of collimator stands on a prototype of the apparatus showed that it was promising to use it for the metrological assurance of thermal viewers.
