Spectral properties of ytterbium metaphosphate glasses doped with erbium ions

Abstract

This paper discusses the spectral properties of glasses doped with ytterbium and erbium ions with the maximum concentrations of ytterbium. The absorption spectra are measured and the Judd-Ofelt parameters are determined for ytterbium metaphosphate doped with erbium.
