The main errors in monitoring coaxial alignment by means of an autoreflection optoelectronic system

Abstract

This paper discusses the main errors of autoreflection optoelectronic measurement systems. A number of experimental studies have been carried out that display the main errors. It is shown that the main errors are technological--in particular, nonlinear systematic errors of the optical system. The experimental studies were based on an optoelectronic system for monitoring coaxial alignment, implemented using an autoreflection layout. It was shown that the systematic errors undergo a compensation effect. The claimed accuracy of the coaxiality-monitoring optoelectronic system relative to the PPS-11 calibration measurement systems and the boring bar was experimentally studied on a specialized test stand for monitoring the coaxial alignment. The resulting values insignificantly exceed the specified values in the horizontal plane, and the accuracy is maintained in the vertical plane.
