Abstract

This paper discusses the principles of measuring the beam diameter (width) and divergence angles of laser radiation, the beam-quality parameter, and a technique for calculating the indeterminacies of the measurement of these parameters. The operating principle of apparatus for determining the spatial characteristics of laser radiation is described, along with its technical and metrological characteristics. Values are given of the components of the measurement indeterminacies on the apparatus.
