Using the discrete cosine transformation to construct a hologram for the task of embedding hidden watermarks

Abstract

This paper shows that a discrete cosine transformation can be used to embed and reconstruct hidden watermarks and that this approach has advantages. It is established that the method of constructing a hologram on the basis of the discrete cosine transformation broadens the dynamic range and reduces the redundancy when the image of a watermark is reconstructed by comparison with an image reconstructed by a technique based on the Fourier transformation.
