Abstract

This paper discusses a fiber-optic sensor based on an end interferometer. It points out that it is important to stabilize the working point of the interferometer in the best position for reliable operation of the sensor. Algorithms are developed for forming a signal that shows how far the actual position of the working point deviates from the optimum point and for stabilizing it in the optimum position. Instrumentation of an adaptive system for controlling the operating regime of the interferometer is proposed, and the results of its experimental study are presented.
