Abstract

This paper presents a brief analysis of the main technical characteristics of means of direct observation and biological protection for this country’s nuclear-power plants—radiation-proof windows. The main directions of improvement of the windows are considered—comprehensive modernization, optimization of the heterogeneous structure, planning by unitizing the designs, and creation of fundamentally new observation facilities based on digital electro-optic engineering. Examples are given of progressive technical solutions.
