OSA's policies on subscription term, pricing, shipping method and claims are noted below:

Subscription Period

All subscriptions are accepted for a one-year term only, on a calendar year basis (January - December). No multiple- year subscriptions are offered. Back issues of the current year will be sent to subscribers who placed subscriptions during the year.

Shipping Method and Rates

Subscriptions to United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America will be sent by surface mail. Subscriptions to countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Oceania will be sent by air freight. All back issues will be sent by surface mail. Additional rates are charged for shipping outside the U.S. Please see our pricing sheet to determine rates applicable to your country.


Requests for refunds will be handled on an individual basis, and if approved, will be prorated, based on the number of unfulfilled issues in the calendar year. Cancellation requests must be received 90 days from receipt of the order (whether direct or via subscription agent). Refunds are subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee per title.


Missing issue claims will be honored only if received within three months of the journal publication date. Please allow 6-8 weeks post publication before submitting a claim. Send all claim requests to claims@osa.org.

Single Copy Articles and Issues

Single copies of articles from OSA Journals may be ordered through our pay-per-view options on www.opticsinfobase.org or through OSA's customer service team at custserv@osa.org. Single issues are also available.
