Refraction of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) by various structures formed by a 100-nm-period square lattice of gold nanoparticles on top of a gold film is studied by leakage radiation microscopy. LRM image showing scattering of a SPP beam on the corresponding structure passing across a 15-um-diameter circular-shaped periodic structure. [See Radko et al. Fig. 2 for details.]
