Optics Express Special Issue
Nonlinear PhotonicsSubmission Deadline: 3 September 2012 |
This Feature Issue is based on research presented at the OSA Topical Meeting "Nonlinear Photonics" (Colorado Springs, Colorado, 17 - 21 June 2012). The Nonlinear Photonics meeting is a venue for researchers working in nonlinear optical processes in structures, devices and systems. The meeting features all aspects of nonlinear optics and photonics, covering theoretical, computational and experimental aspects of nonlinear processes and materials. Contributors to this meeting will be invited to submit to this feature issue, where all manuscripts will undergo the same rigorous peer review as any other paper under consideration for the journal. Normal Optics Express open access charges will also apply to all published articles.
Topics covered in this special issue include:
- Spatiotemporal effects
- Nonlinear effects in fibers
- Nonlinear pulse propagation in fiber
- Temporal solitons in fibers
- Cascaded and second order nonlinearities
- Dissipative solitons and ultra-short pulse modeling
- Active device modeling
- System modeling
- Spatial optical solitons, self-trapping, and self-guiding effects
- Nonlinear effects in periodic structures
- Active and dissipative effects
- Nonlinear Devices and Systems
- Novel Nonlinear Materials and Structures
Manuscripts must be prepared according to the usual standards for submission to Optics Express and must be uploaded through OSAs electronic-submission system - http://www.opticsinfobase.org/oe/journal/oe/author.cfm. Please specify that the manuscript is for the Nonlinear Photonics feature (choose from the feature issue drop-down menu).
