Abstract

Doppler-free saturated absorption of a weak CO2 laser probe on SF6, which is caused by two noncollinear pump beams, is reported. A small-linewidth angular dependence was observed and can be predicted in agreement with a fifth-order perturbation calculation for a two-level atom.
