A two-beam interferometric technique is described for stabilizing the wavelength of a broadband (≃10-nm) semiconductor light source—a GaAs/GaAlAs superluminescence diode. Preliminary results show that the wavelength can be stabilized to better than 1 part in 106 for an averaging time of 1 sec.
