Nonlinear absorption of strong infrared radiation by ozone

Abstract

The mechanism of nonlinear absorption owing to collective absorption by a large number of quasi-resonant vibrational–rotational transitions and two-photon and cascade processes is investigated theoretically and experimentally for the triatomic molecule, ozone.
