Abstract
We show the effect of reflections at the fiber ends on the drift characteristics of a fiber-optic passive ring-resonator gyro. A rotation-detection sensitivity as low as 3 × 10−5 rad/sec (τ = 30 sec) was obtained by reducing the effect of reflected lights with an optical phase modulator.
