Coherent phenomena between incoherent pulses

Not Accessible

Abstract

A coherent interaction is observed between two incoherent, temporally separated pulses, which increases the stimulated Raman scattering conversion efficiency of the delayed pulse from 14% to 27%. This coupling occurs through long-lived coherence in the Raman medium. The influence of temporal pulse spacing on the enhancement is measured.
