Double phase conjugation and double color-pumped oscillation in Brillouin four-wave mixing: theory and demonstration

Abstract

The theory of the double phase-conjugate mirror in Brillouin four-wave mixing with reflection gratings is presented and verified experimentally. By extending the operation of this device to nondegenerate inputs, the double color-pumped oscillator is operated, and beam deflection is demonstrated. Orthogonally polarized pump beams are used to operate these devices.
