Abstract

A theoretical investigation of troublesome aberrations, i.e., astigmatism and coma, of an ellipsoidal diffraction grating recorded holographically has been made. It has been found that a Rowland circle solution gives the best nonastigmatic mounting of an ellipsoidal diffraction grating.
