Abstract
An integrated-optic comb filter has been achieved based on the coupling between a K+–Na+ ion-exchange waveguide and individual higher-order modes of a multimoded overlay film. Notch widths observed to date range from 8 to 50 nm, with channel spacings of between 150 and 220 nm.
