Abstract
We describe holographic contour generation by using a double-wavelength, injection-locked, flash-pumped dye laser. This laser system emits two wavelengths simultaneously in a single pulse of 0.45-µsec duration with an energy of 50 mJ. The two wavelengths are separated by 0.9 Å, and the coherence length of the laser light is in excess of 5 m. Such pulses result in holographic contours with depth separation of 2 mm. This system is applicable to accurate contour mapping of large and small dynamic objects.
