Weak-beam trapping by bright spatial solitons in AlGaAs planar waveguides

Abstract

We demonstrate experimentally the trapping and spatial wave breaking of weak signal beams by orthogonally polarized bright spatial solitons. Experiments were performed in an AlGaAs planar waveguide excited at a wavelength of 1.55 μm.
