Abstract
We report on the fabrication and characterization of optical-stripe waveguides in neodymium-doped calcium barium niobate (Nd:CBN) crystals by using He ion implantation assisted with a mask. The guided-mode profiles are successfully modeled through numerical simulations. After annealing at
