Abstract

An optical chopper-based re-circulating loop is presented for emulating long-haul transmission using few-mode fiber (FMF). A proper functioning of the loop is verified by transmission of three-mode-division multiplexed×128Gb/s DP-QPSK over more than 1000 km of FMF.
