JOSA Publications Grants
A generous member established a fund for the Optical Society of America to provide assistance with mandatory publication charges to qualified JOSA A or JOSA B authors. The grants may be applied to mandatory overlength page charges and color charges. Applications will be considered by the JOSA A and JOSA B Editors on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual allotment is depleted. Individuals will be considered for a grant if they meet one or more of the following criteria:
- A first-time author
- A senior retiree
- A scientist working in a developing country

- In 100 words or less, tell us how you qualify within one of the categories above.
- Complete the information below.
- Submit the online application (or fax a hard copy to Manuscripts Director at 202-416-6129 or send the application to email@example.com) after completing electronic submission of your manuscript.
Qualifications for the JOSA Publications Grants

The JOSA A and JOSA B editors will choose recipients of the grants. The individual(s) will be informed of the amount awarded prior to final acceptance, and that amount will be deducted from their publication charges.
