Abstract

We present preliminary results that show good correlation between elemental compositions of three bioaerosol samples, as measured in the laboratory by combustion analysis and with proton-induced x-ray emission and spark-induced breakdown spectroscopy signals integrated over the entire emission time profiles. Atomic (Ca, Al, Fe, and Si) and molecular features (CN, N 2 + , and OH) were observed compared to the laboratory data.
